William J. Hyland

William J. Hyland, 71, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born Sept. 3, 1951, in Homestead, a son of the late William and Mary Exacustides Hyland. Woody attended Scottdale Church of Christ. He enjoyed driving his Prowler around town. In addition to driving for Allied Trucking, he also was the owner of Perfection Cleaning Co., E & W Real Estate and DEW Real Estate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Robert Hyland. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of more than 30 years, Edna Zufall Hartman-Hyland; two children, Nicole Stevenson (Jeff) and Jessica Hyland (fiance Brandon Ondish), all of Greensburg; stepdaughter, Heather Hartman-Prue, of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Edina Prue, Danica Prue and Hunter Stevenson; four siblings, Tom Exacustides (Elaine), of Pittsburgh, Richard Hyland and Daniel Hyland, both of Irwin, and Donna Hickman, of Jeannette; numerous nieces and nephews; and special and supportive friends, Mark Weinell and John Harris. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Woody from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Pantalone Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Mike Hazelton officiating. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
