Vivian A. Watkins

Vivian A. (Galando) Watkins, 87, of Greensburg, died Friday, March 22, 2024, in the Weatherwood Manor.   She was born November 15, 1936, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Armenia Santucci Galando.  Vivian retired after working for over 25 years as a Data Processing Manager for General Tire.  She was very dedicated to her faith and was a long-time member of Ascension Church and a proud member of the Rosary Altar Society, where she served as the secretary for many years.  Vivian will be remembered as a wonderful and loving grandmother and a phenomenal cook.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Ferrante, her second husband, Thomas Watkins, and nephew Joseph P. Colosimo.  She is survived by Tom's sons, Thomas J. Watkins of Meadville, and Mark A. Watkins of Latrobe; grandchildren, Vanessa A. Watkins of New Castle, and Anthony R. Watkins of Uniontown; great grandson, Isaac T. Rager; sister, Marie Colosimo (Joseph) of Jeannette; brother, John Galando (Beverly) of Level Green; and several nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Vivian, Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Ascension Church, Jeannette.  Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.  The family would like to thank the staff of Weatherwood Manor and Excela Hospice for their loving and compassionate care during Vivian's stay.  It was much appreciated and did not go unnoticed.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Excela Health Home Care and Hospice 134 Industrial Park Rd.
