Violet Wotus Exline died peacefully at her home at Hidden Lakes Golf Course with her devoted husband of 63 years by her side on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Vi was born May 28, 1935 in Crabtree, the 9th of 10 children of the late Joseph A Wotus and Agnes Kustvan Wotus. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley, John, Andrew and Frank Wotus; and three sisters, Jean Tetorka, Emily Beltz and Alice Stula. She is survived by her husband, Walter L. Exline, Jr.; brother, Joe Wotus of Feeding Hills, MA; sister, Jane Wotus Ranier and husband Ron of Jeannette; a special nephew Ronald Ranier and wife, Amy and children, Maggie and Ben of Murrysville; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Walt and Vi were high school sweethearts and graduated together from Greensburg High School in 1953. They were married at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Crabtree in 1956. During high school Vi worked as a secretary/clerk at the Greensburg YMCA. For 13 years she worked at Westmoreland County Municipal Authority as a customer service representative. She also served as the Secretary for the Water Company Union. Vi also worked as a customer service representative for Massachusetts Power and Light Company and the Arkansas/Oklahoma Power Co. in Ft. Smith, AR. In 1970 Vi joined her husband as secretary / treasurer of all their numerous business ventures: Trailmar, Inc. Manufacturing of Trailers and Marine Products, Hastings Place Restaurant Group in Memphis and Jackson, TN and Elis Cotton Gin Restaurant in Olive Branch, MS. Her favorite was Exlines, Inc. Pizza and Pasta Restaurants in Memphis, TN, soon to celebrate forty-five years of successful operation. Upon retirement in 1999, the Exlines purchased a home at Hidden Lakes Golf Club and together have enjoyed their hobbies of golf, the Atlantic Ocean, and extensive travel throughout the USA, Europe and the tropics. We would like to thank Gwen Parham, Jasmine Morgan, and Virginia Neathery of Absolute Home Care Agency for their excellent care of Vi for the past two years. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Violet, Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Parting prayers will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 12:45p.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Eucharist Ministry of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 998 Fr Dolan Drive, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32170.
