Vincent Brahosky

September 30, 1942 — February 19, 2016

Vincent J. Brahosky, 73, of Greensburg, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, in the Greensburg Care Center. He was born Sept. 30, 1942, in Greensburg, a son of the late John and Lillian Garola Brahosky. Vince was a carpenter out of Carpenter's Local No. 462. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and chief cook and owner of Grey Run Hunt Club in Benezette. Vince enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, eating and spoiling his grandkids. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War era, having served in the Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill A. Lakin, in 2006; a brother, Tom Brahosky; in-laws, Josephine C. and Hugh E. Jamison; brother-in-law, Robert Jamison; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Jamison. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Marian J. Jamison Brahosky; two sons, David Brahosky, of Greensburg, and Daniel Brahosky and wife, Trudy, of Washington Courthouse, Ohio; a son-in-law, Jay Lakin, of South Greensburg; two grandsons, Anthony "Tony" Vincent Lakin and John Brahosky; three granddaughters, Kelsey and Nicole Lakin and Arainna Heath; a brother, Jim Brahosky and wife, Joanne, of New Stanton; his sister, Terry Page and husband, Jim, of New Cumberland; two brothers-in-law, Ed and William Jamison, both of Greensburg; his cousin, Joe Brahosky, who was like a brother to Vince, and his wife, Brenda, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Terry Evans for his care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Vince from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro OSB, celebrating.
