Victoria Damato

Victoria Damato , 81, of Greensburg, died Sunday, April 01, 2018 in Westmoreland Manor.  She was born August 08, 1936, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Victoria Spino Damato.  Vicki received her nursing degree at Mercy School of Nursing and went on to receive her Bachelors degree at California University of PA.  She then attended the school of Anesthesiology at Westmoreland Hospital where she then worked as a nurse anesthetist until her retirement.  Except for a short time in California, she was a lifelong resident of Greensburg.  She spent a year on the USS Hope traveling to Sri Lanka where she worked in the OR on the ship.  Her travels took her to exotic places and she came back with pictures of Ankor Wat and the Taj Mahal that her family continues to enjoy viewing.  She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church and the ISDA.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her two sisters, Charlotte Kemerer (George) of Greensburg and Marian Johnson of Greensburg; her special friend, Michael Bayura of Forbes Road; four nieces, Kristine Demnovich (Rick), Angela Kollar (James), Amy Johnson and Nicole Kemerer; a great nephew, Garrett Kollar; and a great niece, Madison Kollar.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Unit 3B who cared for Vicki during her stay at Westmoreland Manor.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Vicki, Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00a.m., the time of services in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W.
