Thomas Henderson

Thomas R. Henderson , 89, of South Greensburg, died Saturday, July 30, 2016, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born April 29, 1927, in Greensburg, a son of the late David and Rose Rauch Henderson. Thomas was a retired machinist for Elliott Co. in Jeannette and a member of the Elliott Retirees Club and the Third United Church of Christ in South Greensburg. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Navy, aboard the USS Vulcan in the South Pacific. Tom's daily quote was if I had to go today, "I had a good life and a good wife." He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Lois Faye Kuhns Henderson; his daughter, Carol Vallozzi and husband, Ernie, and his son, Thomas Henderson, all of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Dante and Julian Vallozzi and Cody, Cameron and Hannah Henderson; several nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Wayne and Margie Schaub, of Pittsburgh. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Thomas from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Pantalone Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Garris officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
