Thomas Henderson

Thomas R. Henderson , 89, of South Greensburg, died Saturday, July 30, 2016, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born April 29, 1927, in Greensburg, a son of the late David and Rose Rauch Henderson. Thomas was a retired machinist for Elliott Co. in Jeannette and a member of the Elliott Retirees Club and the Third United Church of Christ in South Greensburg. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Navy, aboard the USS Vulcan in the South Pacific. Tom's daily quote was if I had to go today, "I had a good life and a good wife." He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Lois Faye Kuhns Henderson; his daughter, Carol Vallozzi and husband, Ernie, and his son, Thomas Henderson, all of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Dante and Julian Vallozzi and Cody, Cameron and Hannah Henderson; several nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Wayne and Margie Schaub, of Pittsburgh. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Thomas from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Pantalone Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Garris officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Tymoczko for his care and compassion and special neighbors, Ralph and Karen Furin, and Father William Lechnar for their prayers and support.
