Sandra Lee Jamison Gendek, 80, of South Greensburg, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, October 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 10, 1944, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Yeskey) Jamison. Sandy was known as 'Mrs. G' during the many years as a Hempfield Band Parent, Board Member and Chaperone for her 4 Majorette daughters. Sandy was also a board member for Hillview Cemetery and E.C. Cruisers Car Club. She was not only proud but honored to be a part of the annual car show fundraiser 'Crusin' to Help the Kids' Toy Drive to benefit Westmoreland Children First. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Gendek Hampton, a brother Thomas Jamison and sister, Jeannine Jamison Baird. She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband of almost 61 years, Theodore T. Gendek, Jr., three daughters, Jacqueline Gendek-Hemenway of Beaver, Gwendolyn Heckman (Kirk) of Westerville, Ohio, and Jennifer Skerbetz (Bill) of New Albany, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, Micah Boehm (Theodore), Gabriella Hemenway, Owen Heckman (Taylor), Sam Heckman (Alexia), Sarah Marnell (Ben), Riley Hampton, Emilee, Abby and Will Skerbetz; sister, Sally Brownfield of Murrysville, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Sandra, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Thursday October 24, 2024 in the St. Bartholomew Church with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Everyone please go directly to the Church. Interment will follow in Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westmoreland Children First towards their "Winter Clothes and Holidays Gifts" program at  P.O. Box 273, Greensburg, PA 15601.
