Ruth Fanchalsky

Ruth M. (Gresh) Fanchalsky , 79, of Lewes, Del., died peacefully at home in her sleep, Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022. She was born March 4, 1943, in Bellevue, a daughter of the late John E. Gresh, Sr. and Dorothy Scott Gresh. Ruth was a 1961 graduate of State College High School. She had been employed by several banks and other businesses as a bookkeeper. She retired on June 30, 2015, after 14 years of service from Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Del., where she worked in patient billing. Prior to 2001, she had worked in the medical records department. She returned to work at Beebe on Jan. 12, 2016, as a casual part time worker up until her death. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Gresh Jr. She is survived by her husband, John Fanchalsky, whom she married Feb. 22, 1975; two sons, Steven Spatafore, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Gregory Spatafore and his wife, Jill, of Cedar City, Utah; granddaughter, Marissa, of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandson, Tony, of Panama; brother-in-law, Roland Fanchalsky, of Greensburg and his daughter, Mackenzie (Matthew) of Delaware; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Gresh and her children, John Gresh and Jennifer Scudder, of Ohio. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Ruth, Friday from noon to 1 p.m., the time of services, in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W.
