Ruth M. (Campbell) Carlson , 95, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, in the Hempfield Manor. She was born Feb. 24, 1926, in Mayburg, a daughter of the late William and Hazelett Heasley Campbell. Ruth was a member of the former Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Greensburg and enjoyed playing cards with her women's card club group. She was a proud and dedicated apheresis blood donor. Ruth was employed as a payroll supervisor for the former Troutman's Department store in downtown Greensburg and later worked in the credit department at Pomeroys until retiring. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; two daughters, Leila Zuzik and Nancy Beaufort; and five brothers, James, Robert, William, Milton and Archie. She is survived by her son, John Carlson (Lori), of Greensburg; daughter, Mindy Halferty (Edward), of Grapeville; and son-in-law, James Zuzik, of Hannastown. She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, Jayme Kuhn (Richard), Debbie Naeger (Scott), Kathy Beaufort Ferrenberg, Daniel Ohler (Michelle), Jennifer Robb (Robert), David Ohler (Jana), TJ Beaufort (Roberta), Amanda Ohler, Missy Ohler and Christopher Carlson (Amanda). She was equally as proud of her 20 great-grandchildren, Andrew and Rachel Kuhn, Blake and Lauren Naeger, Alisha Franks (Logan) and Josh Ferrenberg, Matthew and Mariah Ohler, Logan and Chloe Robb, Lenka and Devin Ohler, Abigail and Lucas Beaufort, Savannah Watkoski and Noah Stough, Sean and Addison Critchlow and Landon and Camdon Carlson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Ruth from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Pantalone Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Parfitt, officiating. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
