Rudolph "Rugo" Mangini

Rudolph J. "Rugo" Mangini , 92, of Crabtree, died Thursday, July 15, 2021, in St. Anne Home. He was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Crabtree, a son of the late Attilio and Anna Gabriel Mangini. Rugo was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and the Crabtree Volunteer Fire Department. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean War. Prior to driving for Crabtree Oil, he worked construction for Peternal Construction Co. while co-owning and working at the former M & M Market in Crabtree. He was an avid golfer and was the co-founder of the Crabtree Golf League. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the various professional sports teams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Vincent, Anthony, Mario, Emedio and Louis Mangini; and two sisters, Edith Saboto and Elizabeth Ipavec. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Josephine C. Antinori Mangini; two sons, Rudy Mangini (Patricia) and Joey Mangini (Deidre); two grandchildren, Petra and Cody Mangini; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Rugo from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, O.S.B., celebrating. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree. The Crabtree Volunteer Fire Department will hold services at 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
