Rose Fredo

Rose (Amatangelo) Fredo , 90, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021. She was born Feb. 19, 1931, in Bovard, a daughter of the late Nunzio and Giovanna Clemente Amatangelo. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and the former St. Bede's Church in Bovard, where she and her husband were active in the Church and their fish fries. Rose enjoyed cooking for her family and made sure that no guests left her home hungry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter A. Fredo; two brothers, Dominic and Louis Amatangelo; and a sister, Mary Scimmi. She is survived by her three sons, Vince Fredo (Debbie), of New Stanton, Rick Fredo (Tina), of Longmont, Colo., and Mark Fredo (Kirk Nelson), of Jeffersonville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Ryan Fredo (Julie), Kaitlyn, Emiko and Peter Fredo; a great-grandson, Caden; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Rose from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Please be prepared to adhere to all current CDC guidelines.
