Robert Regola Jr

Robert T. Regola Jr., 83, of Hempfield Township, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Greensburg, a son of the late Robert T. Regola Sr. and Catherine Sapola Regola. He was the former owner of Robert T. Regola Surveying where he was a professional land surveyor for 53 years and also owned R&R Construction. Bob was a graduate of Greensburg Salem, class of 1949, and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He was a former chairman of the Hempfield Township Municipal Authority. He also was a member of the VFW Post 33, The American Legion, Ducks Unlimited, Norwin Elks Lodge 2313, the Police Rod and Gun Club, Wild Turkey Federation and in his younger days was an active Boy Scout where his dad was troop leader. He served in the Army during the Korean War in the 11th Airborne Division, Special Forces and Engineering and while serving, attended the University of Manila in the Philippines. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and the yearly trips to the beach with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Victor and James Regola. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Evelyn Y. Dott Regola; two sons, the Honorable Robert T. Regola III and wife, Janette, and Ronald Regola and wife, Sheree; a daughter, Brenda Wuslich and husband, Eric, all of Hempfield Township; seven grandchildren, Robert T. Regola IV and wife, Bridget, John Regola, Marlena and Nadia Regola, Isabella Depetris and Stella and Briella Wuslich; a sister, Susan R. Ciarimboli, of Hempfield Township; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Robert, from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of Grace Church. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Greensburg.
