Robert E. George , 82, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Weatherwood Manor with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born April 27, 1936, in Vandergrift, a son of the late Malcolm L. and Nelle Martin George. Robert was the retired vice president of operations for Southwest National Bank and served in the Army. He was an elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church and a member of Greensburg Masonic Lodge No. 225, Rotary Club of Greensburg and the Train Collector's Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marshall A. George. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Mary Lu Magarrall George; his four children, R. Keith George (Karen Louise), of Latrobe, Rebecca Lukas (James), of Cleveland, Ohio, Karen Melissa Lynch (John III), of Greensburg, and Jennifer Sorenson (Ted), of Middletown, Conn.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara L. George, of Concord, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1120 Harvey Ave. (US 819 North), Greensburg, PA 15601.
