Robert Bompiani

Robert Bompiani, 72, of South Greensburg, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in his home.  He was born September 19, 1950, in Greensburg, a son of the late Alfonso and Virginia McCort Bompiani. Bob was an off road mechanic for Penndot for many years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, the Hecla Club and a lifetime member of the NRA.  His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, best friend and loving wife of fifty-four years, Arlene B. Stillwell Bompiani; two children, Lisa Bompiani-Smith (Glenn) of Youngwood and Robert Bompiani, Jr. (Crystal) of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Caitlin Bompiani (Kaleb Sands) and Ryan Bompiani (Megan Lewis); three brothers, Timothy Bompiani (Lorraine) of Columbus, OH, William Bompiani of Greensburg and Mark Bompiani (Lynn) of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. As per Bob’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN  38105, or the United Service Organization, PO Box 96860, Washington, DC 20007.
