Robert C. Ament Sr ., 76, of Latrobe, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, in the Presbyterian University Hospital. He was born June 5, 1941, in Latrobe, a son of the late Emory and Olive Harr Ament. Robert was a maintenance upholsterer for the former Torrance State Hospital and a member of Living Hope Church in Whitney. He also served in the Army. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Anita DeMarino Ament; six children, Pam Kiliany (Ross), of Greensburg, Robert Ament Jr., of Latrobe, Vicky Zemba (Pat), of Derry, Angela DeMarino, at home, Joe Ament (Ruth), of Chandler, Ariz., and Chuck Ament (Katie), of Kingsville, Md.; 12 grandchildren, Alexis, Colin, Kasey, Taylor, Jordan, Jesse, Patrick, Chloe, Lucy, Tucker, Natale and Francco; two great-grandchildren, Natalia and Jaxson; and two brothers, Jacob Ament, of Latrobe, and David Ament, of New Alexandria. There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Living Hope Church, 352 Charles Houck Road, Whitney, PA 15693, 724-424-7262, with Pastor Doug Allen, celebrating.
