Richard H. "Huk" Hudson, 79, of Latrobe, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, in the Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Luxor, a son of the late James Sr. and Charlotte Grimm Hudson. Huk was retired from the Unity Township Road Department and a member of the Living Water Baptist Church in Latrobe, the Derry Rod and Gun Club and was a social member of the Crabtree Fire Hall. He loved working in his garden and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Earl Chambers. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Nancy J. Brasili Hudson; three children, Darryl Hudson and wife, Charlene, of Latrobe, James Hudson and wife, Mandy, of New Derry, and Jill Blair and husband, Chris, of York; eight grandchildren, Carly, Jacob, Jimmy, Hunter, Harlie and Hope Hudson and Devin and Chase Blair; two brothers, James Hudson Jr. and wife, Shirley, of Greensburg, and Thomas Hudson and wife, Sandy, of New Derry; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving pets, Kloie and Tony.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Richard from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Hans Murdock, officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.
