Raymond Dombroski, Jr.

November 30, 1937 — February 20, 2016

Raymond "Decker" Dombroski Jr ., 78, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Nov. 30, 1937, in Natrona Heights, a son of the late Raymond Dombroski Sr. and Sophie Mialki Dombroski. Ray was a retired salesman for Amerigas of Greensburg. He graduated from Har-Brack High School in Natrona Heights in 1957, where he played football. Ray was a veteran of the Navy Seabees and served six months at the South Pole, and was a member of the Police Rod and Gun Club in New Alexandria. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline M. Sphon Dombroski; a grandson, Christopher Sphon; a brother-in-law, John Perotti and a nephew, Derek Kotecki. He is survived by his son, Raymond Dombroski and wife, Sandy, of Lower Burrell; a stepdaughter, Paula Claycomb and husband, Jerry, of Latrobe; three grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Dombroski and Jason Claycomb and wife, Tina; a great-grandchild, Parker Sphon; a brother, Leonard Dombroski and wife, Joyce, of Sarver; three sisters, Rose Patterson and husband, Ken, of Rosslyn Farms, Elizabeth Kotecki and husband, Rich, of Lower Burrell, and Sandra Scholl and husband, Charles, of Advance, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Cindy Elkin and husband, Bob, of Warren, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, David O'Lear and his family. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Raymond from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Autism Society of America Pittsburgh Chapter, 4371 Northern Pike, Monroeville, PA 15146.
