Patricia Opsitnick

Patricia A. (Baker) Opsitnick , 80, of Crabtree, formerly of Greensburg, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at home. She was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Jerome and Mary Elizabeth Whitmore Baker. She was a seamstress for the Westmoreland County Blind Association, and a member of St. Bartholomew Church and Hose Company No. 7 Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Opsitnick Sr.; a grandson, Michael Edward Mosley; four brothers, Frank, Paul, Richard and Robert Baker; and her sister, Theresa Baker. She is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Monstrola (Greg), of Jupiter, Fla., Edward Opsitnick Jr. (Amy), of Greensburg, and Donna Opsitnick, of Grapeville; four grandchildren, Matthew Monstrola (fiancee Heather Bryner), Elizabeth Ann Opsitnick, Lisa Laughner (Jim) and Lori Mosley (fiance Nick Ramos); a great-grandson, Aiden Steinmeyer; her longtime companion, Santo Baca, of Crabtree; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Patricia from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed at 10 a.m. by a funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the staff of Excela Health Hospice for their compassionate care given to their mother during her illness.
