Nelson Heckman

Nelson Lee Heckman , 64, of Greensburg, died Friday, July 7, 2017. He was born Feb. 28, 1953, in McKeesport, a son of the late George Heckman and Henrietta Kohl Heckman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Linda (Galata) Heckman, in 2008; and three brothers, George Heckman Jr., Albert Heckman and James Heckman Sr. He is survived by two sisters, Julia Clark, of Greensburg, and Susie, and her husband, Ernie, Gurki of Irwin; a sister-in-law, Cathy Heckman, of Jeannette; and nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Transitions Health Care and Select Specialty for their care of Nelson; his sister-in-law, Nancy Boehm- Hamilton, and her husband, Dan Hamilton; Susan, and her husband, Joe, Marotta, and all the friends and family dear to him. Also a special heartfelt thank-you to Nancy and her family for being there for Nelson. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Nelson from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CLEMENT L.
