Mitchell Curley, Jr.

Mitchell T. Curley, Jr. , of Greensburg, passed September 23, 2022. He was 81 years old. Mitchell was born January 19, 1941 in Greensburg to Sara M. (Kinkead) Curley and Mitchell T. Curley, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, the late Suzanne (Curley) Danks of Greensburg. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (DeVitis) Curley, and children, Scott Curley (Pam) of Hanover and Kristen (Curley) Kucko (Jay) of Falls Church, VA; grandchildren, Collin, Emily and Ryan Curley and Ava and Sophia Kucko.  Mitchell was an adventurer and world traveler. He flew his first solo airplane flight at age 16, studied Spanish in Mexico City while attending Waynesburg University and served in the US Air Force. He continued his military career as a reservist in the US Army where he served Active Duty during Desert Storm. As a Loss Control Manager for Old Republic Insurance Company, he traveled extensively throughout North America surveying mines and developing a passion for minerals. During retirement, his sense of adventure continued. Together with Mary Ann, they traveled throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia experiencing different traditions, studying history and understanding cultures.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mitchell, Saturday from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m., the time of services, in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W.
