Mary Agnes (Kelly) Nelson , 84, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016, in New Haven Court. She was born July 31, 1931, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Eli and Mary Sopala Kelly. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and its Resurrection Choir and a retired cook and manager of the school cafeteria. She had also volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul and was a past member of the Red Hat Ladies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Nelson; her son, Robert M. Nelson; a great-grandson, Gilbert M. Craig IV; and two sisters, Isabel Swift and Helen Altman. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Wilson and husband, Greg, of Decatur, Ill.; a son, William Nelson and wife, Holly, of Prosper, Texas; two grandchildren, Rebecca McCoy and husband, Randy, and Michael Wilson; two great-granddaughters, Megan and Emily McCoy; a brother, George Kelly and wife, Patricia, of Norvelt; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Edie South. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mary Agnes from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
