Mary "Connie" C. McChesney

Mary C. “Connie” (Cusano) McChesney, 85, of Crabtree, died Thursday, September 26, 2024 in the Westmoreland Hospital. She was born November 23, 1938, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anntonetta Spino Cusano. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church in Crabtree. Connie was a dedicated nurse for over 60 years. She delivered many babies at Westmoreland Hospital and was an activist for the Breast Cancer Screening Clinic. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant sibling; six additional siblings, Angie, Mary, Carmella, Joe, Anthony, and Dom. Connie survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Thomas McChesney of Crabtree; a daughter, Chrissy McChesney of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Tommy (Trystan), Billy, Christian, Lucy and Gloria; one sister, Christina Dornauer of Latrobe and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Connie’s funeral Mass, Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Everyone please meet directly at the church. Entombment will be private.
