Mary Ann Baker, 82, of Greensburg, formerly of Central, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Westmoreland Manor. She was born December 29, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Stephen Thomas and Anna Mary Hudock Sabolik Permuko. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Mary Ann worked as a seamstress at the WT Grant Co. and at the Westland Mfg. Co., both of Greensburg. She enjoyed gardening, painting, fishing and numerous other activities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Lewis Baker in 1995 after 29 wonderful years; brother, Steve Permuko; sister, Anna Harrold; stepdaughter, Mary Jane Davis; and dear friends, Joanne Georgeadis and Bernice Kirik. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Karen Permuko, her beautiful nieces, Jodi Kopp (David) of Alaska, Crystal Miller (Bill) of New Castle and Laura Cherock (Michael) of Sewickley; her wonderful stepson, Ronald R. Baker of Schuyler, VA and his family; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her longtime friend, AFA Pete Soutouras; and several other nieces and nephews. Mary Ann wanted to send a special thanks to the wonderful staff, nurses, and residents at the Westmoreland Manor for all that they have done for her. And to whom it may concern, “I DID THIS MY WAY, in case anyone is interested”. Mary Ann will be laid to rest with her husband at a private service and burial to be held in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. “We will see you later”.
