Louis Mascherma

Louis C. Mascherma , 85, of Greensburg, died Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the Hempfield Manor. He was born April 3, 1937, in Rostraver Township, a son of the late Albert W. Mascherma and Mary Badzik Mascherma. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Prior to working for the USPS, Louis had been employed for many years at Seton Hill University and the State Welfare office located in Greensburg. In his younger years, he was a boxer and a member of the Golden Gloves. Louis proudly served in the Coast Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Albert, George and Frank Mascherma. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Esther Mascherma; three sons, Vince Mascherma (Sheryl), of Derry, Aaron Mascherma and Jerome Mascherma, both of Greensburg; and three sisters-in-law, Bernadine Blaszkowski, Charlotte Kolbosky and Jeannie Kolbosky. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Louis from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children, 135 Clelian Heights Lane, Greensburg, PA 15601.
