Lillie Mae Sanders

Lillie Mae (Ray) Sanders , 100, of Greensburg, died Friday, February 12, 2021 in the Westmoreland Manor.  She was born August 20, 1920, in Rankin, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lula Mae Darwin Ray.  Lillie Mae was a lifelong member of the Bethel AME Church and a member of their Missionary Group.  She was president of the former Alpha Beta Alpha, a Civil Rights group in Greensburg that was founded by Lillie and her friends.  In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sanders; and infant sister; and two great grandchildren, Derek and Taffeda 'Taffy' Finch.  She is survived by two daughters, Diane Sledge of PA and Ruth Kirkling (Alvin) of Greensburg; 11 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 56 great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild and a Goddaughter, Evelyn Jones of Greensburg.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Lillie Mae, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.    A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Pantalone Funeral Home with Rev.
