Kenneth C. Kopesky Jr. , 52, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, in the West Penn Hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1964, in Hackensack, N.J., a son of Marie Miller Kopesky, of Lakeville, and the late Kenneth C. Kopesky Sr. Ken was the head athletic trainer, Seton Hill University, employed by Excela Health and a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association. Ken earned both a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and a Master of Science in health education from Penn State University. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Carter Christopher Kopesky. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Matthew Kopesky, of Mt. Pleasant, and his fiance, Maurisa Smeltz; a brother, Gary Kopesky (Jacqueline), of Honesdale; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no public viewing.
