Kenneth (Kenny) James Godbolt was born on April 27, 1995 in Clarion, Pennsylvania to Crystal Franklin and Ralph Godbolt. Kenny received his formal education in the Philadelphia and Danie Boone Public School Systems and his post-secondary education at Westmoreland County Community College and Bloomsburg University. Kenny was a jokester who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was very smart and had a high level of intellectual curiosity. Not only did he like to learn, he also liked to entertain his friends with his unique dancing style. Kenny was a music junkie, who enjoyed all genres of music. He also enjoyed playing video games and binge watching tv shows with members of his family. Family was very important to Kenny. Whether he was watching anime with his twin sister, taking his younger sister to her prom, playing video games with his brother, hanging out with his mom, hosting watch parties with his step-mom or taking long rides with his dad, family was always front and center with Kenny. Kenny was very empathetic and believed in giving back to his community. He volunteered with youth and strived to be viewed as a role model. He also encouraged his friends to engage in positive activities and would jump at the chance to spend a day helping others. Kenny was easygoing and made lots of friends. He was a genuinely kind person. He strived to make everyone feel comfortable, often times by serving as the source of entertainment. Whether joking or dancing, Kenny sought to brighten up a room. Kenny was also a fighter. While experiencing significant medical issues, he kept a smile on his face and hope in his heart. He fought whatever life through in his way he handled it with strength, kindness and compassion. Kenny died peacefully in his sleep on April 19, 2025. Kenny leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Crystal; his father, Ralph, his step-mother, Shanita; his twin sister, Khyana; his brother Matthew; his sister, Kyche; his grand-mother, Dorothy; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
