Karen Heppner

Karen L. (Woodward) Heppner , 57, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, surrounded by her loving family in UPMC East after a yearlong battle with Stage 4 breast cancer. She was born Dec. 27, 1960, a daughter of the late Donna Rowe Woodward and Frederick Woodward, of Monroeville. Karen retired from Verizon after many years of service. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Heppner, in 2006. In addition to her father, she is survived by three children, Michael W. Heppner, Matthew T. Heppner (fiancee Caitlyn Harris) and Stephanie L. Gerhard (Kalin), all of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Revello-Heppner and Sophia and Gracelyn Gerhard; three sisters, Kathy Brown (Todd), of Plum, Kim Dahlstrom (Dave), of Penn Township, and Kris Last (Tom), of Murrysville; and five nieces and nephews, Kristi George, Travis Brown, Tommy Last, Kaysi Dahlstrom and Tanner Last. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Karen from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Donna Havrisko officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
