Josephine M. (Setmire) Bayura, 87, of Forbes Road, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Forbes Road, a daughter of the late John and Mary Baksa Setmire. Josephine was a lifelong member of the former St. Mary's Church in Forbes Road and St. Bartholomew Church in Crabtree. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Bayura; her son, Joseph J. Bayura; six brothers, John, Joe, Steve, Louis, Glen and Julius Setmire; and her four sisters, Marie Tarschis, Elizabeth Geis, Helen Kubinec and Margaret Ann Setmire. She was the last surviving member of the Setmire family. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Greenawalt, of Forbes Road; her grandson, Norman Brooks III, of Forbes Road; her granddaughter, Christina Marie Bayura, of Alburtis, Pa.; her great-grandson, Kevin Michael Brooks; daughter-in-law, Deborah Bayura, of Middletown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Josephine, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, (724-837-0020). Parting prayers will be held at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.
