Joseph W. Wagner, Sr., 89, of Greensburg, died Friday, June 02, 2017 at home. He was born December 07, 1927, in Uniontown, a son of the late Joseph A. and Mary Helen Zuzack Wagner. Joseph was a retired police officer for the Pennsylvania State Police, Greensburg. He was a US Veteran, serving in the US Air Force during WWII and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1989 in Indiana and of the FOP #62. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Elaine Caffrey Wagner; and his brother Gerald 'Jerry' Wagner. He is survived by his two children, Mary Graham of Greensburg and Joseph W. Wagner, Jr. of FL; four grandchildren, Jennifer E. Marvin Schneider (David), Richard J. 'RJ' Marvin, all of Greensburg, David L. Graham of IN and Joshua D. Graham and fiance Allison Reed of IL; four great grandchildren, Alice Clara and Haley Rose Wade, Owen A. Schneider and David M. Graham; a sister in law, Marie Wagner; several nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, David Barnett of NC. At the family’s request, there will be no public viewing or services. Interment was in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Hempfield Volunteer Fire Department, 1284 Business Route 66.
