Joseph Scifo

Joseph Scifo , 72, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016. He was born April 17, 1944, in Crabtree, a son of the late Cologero Scifo, Jr. and Rosella M. Corleto Scifo. After attending Greensburg Salem High School, he served in the US Army, and then worked for Latrobe Steel, from which he retired after 36 years. When not busy spending time with his three children or seven grandchildren, he loved cooking, gardening, fishing, carpentry, and riding his moped. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his brother, Pete Scifo. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gloria J. Reynolds Scifo; his three children, Natalie Nadeo, and husband, Michael, of Greensburg, Anthony "Tony" Scifo, and wife, Debra Scifo. of the U.K., and Joseph "Joey" Scifo, and wife, Christie Scifo, of Tampa, Fla.; his seven grandchildren, Miranda and Malea Nadeo, Alaina, Dominic, and Nicholas Scifo, and Lily and Luca Scifo; siblings, Louis Scifo, and wife, Christina, of Loyalhanna Woodlands, Mary Jo Greece, and husband, Rick, of Greensburg, and Rose Stahl, and husband, Ross, of Indianapolis, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; and his constant canine companion, Pumpkin. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Joe from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC. 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020 . Parting prayers will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m Wednesday, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment with full military honors, accorded by the American Legion Post 981 Honor Guard, will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.
