Joseph L. Hayden, 30, of Greensburg, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was born April 8, 1993, in Greensburg, a son of James L. Hayden, Jr. and Terri L. Pavlick Hayden, of Greensburg. He was a graduate of Hempfield High School and obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Joe was loved by many. He was a kind hearted and empathetic person to all that crossed his path. He was a great brother to Ryan and has left behind many lifelong memories. He will be deeply missed by all of those that loved him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James L. Hayden, Sr and Mamie Onderziek Hayden; and his maternal grandfather, Raymond L. Pavlick, Sr. In addition to his parents, he is survived by, a brother, Ryan J. Hayden, maternal grandmother, Laverne McMahon Pavlick, all of Greensburg; aunts and uncles, Raymond Pavlick, Jr of Greensburg, Charles Hayden (Kathy) of New Stanton and Richard Hayden (Kathy) of Charleston, SC; and several cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe’s funeral Mass, to be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, in the St. Bartholomew Church, 2538 US-119, Crabtree, PA 15624 with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment will be private in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Joe’s family has entrusted his care to the Pantalone Funeral Home Inc., Greensburg.
