Joseph A. Carrolli

Joseph A. Carrolli, 88, of Greensburg, died Sunday, November 03, 2024, at home. He was born September 06, 1936, in Greensburg, a son of the late Charles Carmen and Della Morelli Carrolli. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church and a retired electrician for the City of Greensburg after nearly 50 years. Joe was known by all for his big heart and his witty sense of humor. He had a warm smile and a contagious laugh, and great curly, white hair that he was always very proud of. He enjoyed sports betting, playing cards with his friends, old Western movies and Motown music. Above all, he loved his family. He was affectionately known as “Pap Pap” to his grandchildren and was a fun and caring babysitter to them for many years, a “job” he loved more than anything in the world. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Emanuele Carrolli in 2011; a granddaughter, Jessica Carrolli in 1995; a great granddaughter, Penelope Emanuele Smith in 2023; and siblings, Richard 'Cookie' Carrolli, Charles 'Jr.' Carrolli, Anthony Carrolli and Philomena Bysick. He is survived by his three children, Michele 'Micki' Beaver, Joseph Carrolli, Jr. and Christopher Carrolli all of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Alexa Smith (Charlie), Rhianna Beaver and Nicholas Carrolli (Erika); two great grandchildren, Jude Smith and Oliver Carrolli; sister-in-law, Sharion Carrolli of Zimmerman, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of Joseph will be received Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Grace Church.
