After graduating with highest honors from Saint Vincent College in 1972, he began teaching psychology at Mount Pleasant Area High School. John loved spending time outdoors fishing, skiing, and hunting. He also enjoyed playing golf, racquetball, basketball, bowling, running, and watching all sports, especially the Pittsburgh teams.
John’s greatest accomplishment was his commitment to family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father, a caring son and brother, and a dedicated friend. John found the most joy being “pappy” to his seven grandchildren and companion granddog. He had a kind and gentle spirit, always offering a listening ear, a comforting word, and wise advice.
