John Sima

John M. Sima , 92, of Greensburg, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, in St. Anne Home. He was born March 6, 1928, in Hannastown, a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Mary Hricko Sima. John was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and a World War II veteran, having served in the Marine Corps. He was a retired printer for the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Sima Jr.; and a sister, Mary Bolkovac. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia A. McGrath Sima, whom he married on May 28,1955, and with whom he would have celebrated 66 years of marriage this year; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of John from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB celebrating. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree. Keeping with CDC guidelines, those attending the viewing and funeral are required to wear face masks. Because of current social distancing restrictions, only 35 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time.
