John A. Pardi, 74, of Greensburg, died Friday, December 08, 2023, in the Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born March 24, 1949, in Greensburg, a son of the late Leon and Mildred Belinsky Pardi. John served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retiring he was employed at Dick's Sporting Goods distribution center in Smithton, PA, Sony Electronics, and the Volkswagen Assembly plant in New Stanton. He was also self-employed for a number of years as a painter and wallpaper hanger. He enjoyed cooking and working outdoors, especially in his vegetable garden and with his flowers. He was known for meeting the many challenges he faced in his life without complaint, fixing just about anything, riding around on his tractor, and working stories of his grandson Arthur into every conversation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Zamborsky Pardi in 2014. He is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie Radzevick (Joseph) of Mechanicsburg and Anita Pardi of Greensburg; grandson, Arthur John Radzevick; and brother, Robert Pardi of Mechanicsburg. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of John, Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626.
