John "Jay" Bratton

John J. Bratton, 75, of Luxor, died Friday, July 14, 2023.  He was born October 11, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of the late Herbert Charles Bratton and Helen Kozar Bratton.  Jay was a Spring Maker, Wabtec in Export and served in the US Army.  He enjoyed working building things and working in his yard.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Willard Bratton; and four canine companions, Ruby, Lucy, Chloe and Penny.  He is survived by his loving companion and friend for over thirty-five years, Dee Pastor and her daughter, Deana Pastor of Luxor; a sister, Josephine Calabrese of Cleveland, OH; one son and one daughter.  Private services and interment were held in in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westmoreland County Food Bank 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626 or the Humane Society of Westmoreland County, PO Box 1552, Greensburg, PA 15601.  Jay’s family has entrusted his care to the Pantalone Funeral Home Inc., Greensburg.  For online condolences / directions, visit us at pantalone.com.
