Jo Ann Mcdowell

Jo Ann McDowell (Starry) born November 27, 1961 passed quietly on September 5, 2022 at the age of 60 in her home in Greensburg, PA.  She was preceded in death by both of her loving parents, Reuben and Marian Starry and her older sister, Linda George.  Jo Ann lives on through her three children, William Rundle and wife, Sarah, David Rundle, and Jessica Rundle.  She loved being a grandmother to her eight grandchildren: Cassandra, Jonathan, Carolina, Connor, Bianca, Emberleigh, Joseph, and Autumn. Jo Ann is survived by five siblings, Dianna Fillmore, Reuben “Sonny” Starry III and wife, Ellen, Debbie Melvin and husband, Paul, Janet Gillespie and husband, Sean and John Starry, among many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Jo Ann was a 1980 graduate of Derry Area Senior High School.  Those who knew Jo Ann knew her for her sense of humor and ability to relay all the local and social news.  She loved to cook and often carried forward the recipes and traditions she was taught by her mother.  Jo Ann will be dearly missed and remembered by all.
