Jerome "Jerry" Feret

Jerome M. 'Jerry' Feret, 85, of Greensburg, died Friday, December 23, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 20, 1937, in South Greensburg, a son of the late Tony and Marie Metrock Feret. Jerry was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg, where he sat on the Church building committee for designing the new Church.  He also was an Altar boy for 15 years at St. Bruno Church.  Jerry received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Vincent College.  He worked at Westinghouse as a mechanical engineer for many years until he transitioned into upper management.  During that time, he worked with NASA on the Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz, and the Space Shuttle.  He was the secretary of the Friendship Investment Club for 40 years and belonged to the Westinghouse Golf League along with many friends for 60 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Costello Feret of Greensburg; two sons, Jeff Feret (Leanne) of New Alexandria and Michael Feret (Dena) of Greensburg; two grandsons, Nicolas H. Feret and Michael A. Feret; siblings, Carol Cope (Jack), David Feret (Marilyn); brother-in-law, Bill Sweezy (Carol Jean); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jerry, Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home Thursday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Grace Church. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Memorial donations in Jerry’s memory may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Assoc., lbda.org.
