James V. Zuzik, 75, of Hannastown, died Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Greensburg, a son of the late Amil A. and Lillian M. Fordyce Zuzik. Jim was retired from the PA Turnpike, Harrison City, and the Amos K. Hutchinson Highway. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Era. As an active person in the community, Jim was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, where he was an usher and on the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival committee, the American Legion Post 446, of Mt. Pleasant, and the Teamsters Local No. 30, where he was past president. He was a charter member and trustee of the Keystone Rod and Gun Club and the heart and soul of the annual Wild Game Feed that he started more than 25 years ago. He was also a member of the Hannastown VFD and an avid fisherman and enjoyed his yearly trips to Maine and enjoyed hunting. In years past, he was also a regular volunteer with the EMS. Jim's greatest pleasure was spending time cooking for his family and friends. He was a friend to all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Leila E. Carlson Zuzik; an infant sister and his twin brother, Amil A. Zuzik, who passed away Jan. 22, 2023. He is survived by his three daughters, Jayme Kuhn (Rick), of Greensburg, Debbie Naeger (Scott), of Hannastown, and Jennifer Robb (Robert), of Crabtree; six grandchildren, Andrew and Rachel Kuhn, Blake and Lauren Naeger and Logan and Chloe Robb; a brother, John W. "Bill" Zuzik (Rebecca), of Greensburg; fiancee, Candi Taylor; of Richeyville; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jim from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601 724-837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment with military honors will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
