Jack Petrill

Jack M. Petrill, 76, of Chiefland, FL, formerly of Greensburg, died Monday, May 23, 2022.  He was born June 08, 1945, in Greensburg, a son of the late Isadore and Mary Ross (Colarusso) Petrill.  Jack was a self-employed general contractor in the Greensburg area for many years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a wonderful father and great husband.  Jack served his country in the US Navy and was honest and faithful and a mentor to many that entered into the construction field.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry 'Poatch' L. Petrill; and brothers, Isadore J. 'Izzy' Petrill, Jr. (Linda) and Dennis S. 'Denny' Petrill (Linda); maternal grandparents, Mike and Colomba Lombardi Ross (Colarusso); paternal grandparents, Silvio 'Sam' and Rosina Amendola Petrillo; mother-in-law, Louise Pitz; and brothers-in-law, Francis Pitz and John H. (Skip) Surovy, Jr.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Roxie Ann Pitz Petrill; son, Kevin Petrill (Laurie) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Andrew Otte, Courtney Petrill, both of Marietta, GA and Zachary Petrill (Samantha) of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren, Liam and Riley; siblings, Jerry (Kathy), Patricia Surovy (Lou Zecchini), all of Greensburg and Rosemary Burke (John) of West Palm Beach, FL; sisters-in-law,  Debbie Sindorf (Dan) and Tami Pitz (Bruce Zaffina), all of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jack, Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W.
