Jack E. Moyer Sr. , 93, of Greensburg, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at home. He was born Dec. 16, 1923, in Greensburg, a son of the late Kenneth and Ruth Myers Moyer. Jack was the operator of the former Atlantic Arco Gas Station in Greensburg. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Navy. He was a member of the Hose Company No. 8 Fire Department for 70 years and VFW Post 211 in Youngwood. Jack was an avid golfer and Pittsburgh sports fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Glenn Moyer; and two sisters, Elizabeth Immel and Jean Painter. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Margaret J. Felice Moyer; his son, Jack E. Moyer Jr., of Greensburg; three grandsons, Douglas J. Moyer (Cassie), Daniel P. Moyer (Justine) and Matthew J. Moyer (Kara); a sister, Carol Snider, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jack from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Pantalone Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
