Glorianne Guidas

Glorianne (Yanity) Guidas , 91, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021. She was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Crabtree, a daughter of the late Harry T. and Minnie Sorice Yanity. Prior to working at Sears, Glorianne worked as a teletypist for Western Union. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for more than 20 years until September 2020. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was known as the “cookie lady,” baking for family, friends and businesses, especially around the holidays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Guidas, in 1979; and two brothers, Major Harry P. Yanity and Gerald J. Yanity. She is survived by her two children, Donna Chemelli (Joseph), of Greensburg, and Thomas Guidas (Lisa), of Cranberry Township; two grandchildren, Douglas Chemelli and Gina Goodman (Scott); two great-grandchildren, Sammy and Ellis Goodman; a brother, Gene Yanity, of Crabtree; a sister-in-law, Kathy Yanity, of Irwin; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Glorianne from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020.  Parting prayers will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Monday, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Youngwood, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating.   Entombment will be in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Keeping with CDC guidelines, those attending the viewing and funeral are required to wear face masks. Because of current social distancing restrictions, only 35 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time.
