Glenna C. Shaw

January 6, 1940 — April 23, 2025

Ligonier

It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of our mother, Glenna Shaw, on April 23. Glenna was born on January 6, 1940, to E. Stewart Proper and Glenna Cloyd Proper. Also preceeding her in death was her beloved husband, Daniel, her brothers William and John Proper, her son, Derek and grandson, Evan. Glenna was blessed with five children, Danyl, Melody, Darin, Dawn and Dana. They were the anchor of her existence. She was a strong and resilient woman whose greatest accomplishment was raising her beautiful family. Known for her happy, sweet and kind - hearted nature, Glenna was a woman who radiated warmth wherever she went. Her favorite past times were simple yet meaningful. She loved working on word puzzles, reading, playing brain games, and couldn’t resist a good Hallmark movie! She was a woman of diverse taste when it came to music cherishing all genres alike. Her favorite drink was coffee, a reflection of her urge to savor every moment life much like a warm sip of coffee. Her favorite vacation spots weren’t tied to a specific destination, but rather anywhere her family was. The company was always more important than the place. The best lesson she had to share was to always think positive and stay young, a philosophy she held tightly throughout her journey of life. Her legacy is a simple and powerful one - a legacy of kindness and love. She and her beloved husband, Daniel, were the perfect example of a loving and strong marriage. They gave us an example of what true love and sacrifice looks like that will continue to resonate among all of us. While her departure from this world leaves a void that can never be filled, her spirit lives on in the heart of her children and grandchildren, Derek, Alex, Orren, Maria, Mollie and Lily and great-grandchildren, Phoebe, Graham, Talia and Maylee who will miss her deeply. Glenna‘s life, her love, and her wisdom will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, Mom. Your memory will be forever etched in our hearts. We love you.
