Geraldine Kozinko

Geraldine I. "Geri" (Beard) Kozinko, 62, of Forbes Road, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, in the Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born April 24, 1953, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late William and Esther V. Show Beard. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church where she sang in the choir, helped set up for bingo and volunteered for various other church activities. She was a lifetime member of the Auxiliary VFW Post 33 in Greensburg and an avid Pirates fan. She also enjoyed bowling with her two leagues, the Delta Women's League and the Guys and Dolls Couple's League. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David M. Beard; and two nephews, Robert W. Beard and Edward J. Mutnansky Jr. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John R. Kozinko; two children, Anthony J. Kozinko, of Imperial, and Timothy D. Kozinko and wife, Jessica, of Slickville; two grandchildren, Sophia and Zachary Kozinko; five siblings, Virginia Conrad and husband, Robert, of Ford City, William A. Beard and wife, Valeria, of St. Mary's, Md., Sandra R. Mutnansky and husband, Edward Sr., of Latrobe, Christine M. Martz and husband, David J., of Avonmore, and Stephen Beard and wife, Donna, of Shelocta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Geri from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree.
