Geraldine B. (Rinehart) Franklin , 92, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born June 21, 1924, in Braddock, a daughter of the late Edward and Otelia Rinehart. Geraldine was a member and mother of the First Antioch Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Nutrition Inc. for the Greensburg Salem School District. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary L. Franklin Sr.; and two sons, Gary L. Franklin Jr. and Alvin Franklin. She is survived by her seven children, Lawrence Franklin, Chester Franklin, Paulette Allen, all of Greensburg, Pearl Franklin, of Atlanta, Ga., Patricia Walton, of Greensburg, Vernon Franklin, of Columbus, Ohio., and Dane Franklin, of Greensburg; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Geraldine at her memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Antioch Baptist Church, 726 W.
