Gary Stephen Mang, 62, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at home. He was born November 17, 1962, in San Gabriel, California. Gary lived a life driven by passion, purpose, and unwavering dedication to others. Whether pioneering innovative safety tools for railroaders or coaching competitive youth baseball, he approached every endeavor with the goal of making a meaningful impact. While raising four children of his own, he still found the time and energy to establish a charity that would go on to provide life-saving equipment to children’s hospitals. But his greatest gift was the way he welcomed and cared for others. To so many, he wasn’t just a mentor, a coach, or a friend—he was “Papa.” His kindness, generosity, and wisdom made everyone feel like family, leaving a lasting imprint on all who knew him. We will forever hold his lessons close, honoring his legacy by living with the same purpose, heart, and unwavering love that he did. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Margaret Hope Wadley. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, April L. Sibley Mang; four children, Jaime Jorritsma (Michael) of Upland, CA, Montana Mang of Boswell and twins, Garrett and Chandler Mang, both of Greensburg; his beloved granddaughter, Camryn Jorritsma and several other close family members and friends. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date. Gary’s family has entrusted his care to the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. For online condolences / directions, visit us at pantalone.com. Natale N. Pantalone, supervisor.
