Gail Ann (Murphy) Bupp , 60, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully after a five year courageous battle with multiple myeloma. She was surrounded by her family on March 11th while listening to the song 10,000 reasons when she went to be with the Lord. She was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1955 to the late William and Ethel (Cowdell) Murphy. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Barry Bupp; her daughter, Hannah Bupp of Charlottesville, Virginia; her son, Caleb Bupp (Robin) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren Matilda and Hugo; and mother, Ethel of Plymouth, Michigan. She was employed by Hempfield Area School District as a teacher at Maxwell Elementary. There was no artistic medium Gail couldn’t master and she designed the t-shirt for the Greensburg Turkey Trot for 24 years, combining her love of running, which she did for over 30 years, and art. She also enjoyed anything mid-century modern, flea marketing, and riding her red Vespa scooter. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 pm on Monday, March 14 at the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 404 W. Pittsburgh St. Greensburg, 724-837-0020. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Greensburg Alliance Church with her brother-in-law, Rev. Dennis L. Bupp officiating. In lieu of flowers and in hopes of better treatment and a future cure, donations may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Donations accepted at www.themmrf.org. Gail’s family has entrusted her care to the Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., Greensburg.
