Francis Donald (Champ) Spisso Ill, 72, of Greensburg passed away on Saturday November 16, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Frank was born on May 27, 1952, in Lakeland, Florida to Frank and Edna Mae Mitchell Spisso. He grew up in Greensburg, graduating from Greensburg Salem high school where he excelled at sports. He was a member of the track team and after graduating attended Edinboro University on a track scholarship. He married and settled in Erie, PA, where he worked at General Electric Transportation assembling locomotives. He retired following his Parkinson's diagnosis. In addition to his parents, Francis was predeceased by his wife Diane Spisso; and a sister Marylou Altman in June 2024. Frank is survived by a daughter Nicole Gladitz (Christopher) of Erie; and a son Franco Spisso (Lacy) of Ypsilanti, MI; and a granddaughter Zoe Gladitz. Frank is also survived by his siblings all from Greensburg, Raphelia Spisso (Muskrat); Christine Mansour and Ron Spisso (Barb) along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and many old friends. He will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be private.
