Esther P. Nicholson

Esther P. Nicholson, 79, of Southwest Greensburg, died Monday, April 01, 2024 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born November 27, 1944, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Lucas Nicholson.  After retiring from Westmoreland County Children's Bureau after thirty years of service, Esther worked as a cashier at Marshall's in Greensburg. She proudly served in the United States Army.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five siblings, Clayton, Wilmer, Wendell, and Walter Nicholson and Julia Prinkey.  She is survived by her daughter, Holly Rocco (Frank 'Boots') of Scottdale; four grandchildren, Brandy Wisniewski (Travis), Mia Rocco, Frank Rocco, Jr. and Jessica Rocco; great granddaughter, Madison; five  siblings Molly Sipe (Ben) of Normalville, Polly Sipe (Blaine) of Normalville, Rita Rule of Normalville and Virgil Nicholson of Mill Run, Frank Nicholson of Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Esther, Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of services in the Clement L.
